Sackboy - A Big Adventure:
The Sack is Back

Dovetailing off the success of the LittleBigPlanet franchise, Playstation launched an entirely new game and name for PS5, putting LittleBigPlanet’s Sackboy front and center.

Given the equity the Sackboy character carries globally, it was a natural fit to include his name directly in the title.

But other naming criteria, including rising above any single aspect of the platformer’s sprawling plot, nodding to the previous franchise without leaning too far into it, leaving room for more games to come, and keeping it really simple and easy for all ages all around the world, guided our exploration and ultimately led us to the perfect solution.
