When marketing automation platform MPZMail was acquired and became part of a new brand family, it was time for a new name. Having “mail” in the name was limiting as they offer much more than email marketing, and there were some global pronunciation differences with the letter “Z.”
The team wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to create a name that checked all their boxes: easy to say, sounds cool, stands on its own, works well for technical and non-technical audiences; sits well alongside its sister brand, Capsule.
After a deep exploration, including a variety of ways to pair a name with Capsule, the team selected Transpond as the new name. It aligns tonally with Capsule while clearly conveying the core of what they do: push out messages. This new name brings the platform up to date and communicates that their capabilities extend well beyond email marketing.
